DoorDash, an online food ordering app in the US, faced a massive glitch recently. The problem did not affect the food ordering service, instead of that, the glitch provided freebies for everyone, much to the horror of the company! A sudden glitch on the app resulted in hundreds of users ordering food, and even alcohol, for absolutely nothing. As soon as the news of the glitch on the DoorDash app went viral on social media, people took the opportunity to order free food and expensive beverages. Several posts across Twitter and Facebook on July 7 suggested that the DoorDash app had a glitch. People took to social media to share screenshots of their online checkout cart full of orders that asked for no payment to be made! According to reports and posts, the DoorDash app glitch allowed people to order food without making any form of payment.

Delighted customers shared screenshots of their lavish orders with bill amounts rising up to thousands of dollars. "Doordash was all free cuz of a glitch and mfs went crazy LMAOO." a user tweeted. However, those who missed the bus, were found complaining, “Nobody woke me up for the doordash glitch ??? Where ** is the loyalty?? (sic)”

However, several reports suggest that the DoorDash glitch was for a short period of time, which allowed users to check out their orders without any payment. Whatever the reasons are, by the time DoorDash resolved the glitch, the damage had already been done! People order hundreds of free orders of food and drink.

Now, after having ordered and consumed the food and drinks, some Twitter users are in panic mode. Those who placed the free orders during the glitch on DoorDash are concerned that the company might extract the full prices for their extravagant bills!

And they have a very good reason to worry. “We're actively canceling fraudulent orders, and are in touch with merchants impacted to ensure they are compensated for any unauthorized orders they may have received,” a Mashable report quoted DoorDash representatives as saying. DoorDash further clarified, “We work to ensure that we are always offering the highest quality of service to the communities we serve, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused by this.”
