Ebay users face disruption over site maintenance

    Online shopping and auction site Ebay was reportedly hit with disruption over a scheduled maintenance took longer than expected.

    Online shopping and auction site Ebay was reportedly hit with disruption over a scheduled maintenance took longer than expected.


    The site's users reported issues with the auction site while some also complained of log-in failures or problems after accessing their accounts.

    A spokesperson for the site said that the issues were 'intermittent' and the users had been warned in advance about the scheduled maintenance which could cause disruption, however, the process had taken longer than expected, BBC reports.

    Ebay apologized for the intermittent problems and assured users to resolve the issue soon and provide a further update.

    The users took to microblogging site Twitter to express their agony over the site's glitch.

    Recently a lot of prominent websites have been reported to have faced technical issues for unexplained reasons, including Google, Amazon and Microsoft's iCloud services among others.
