Nik Software's 'Snapseed' for the iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch is a photo editing tool for new photos or existing Camera Roll images. This toolset is for $4.99 and it makes photo editing and sharing super easy and fun. There are two sections to the app, the first one is to the main image adjustment section gives you 5 tools to work with:

Auto Correct -

Auto corrects the image for perfect viewing

Selective Adjust -

selective enhancements to specific areas of the image

Tune Image -

Tune the image for its Ambience

Straighten and Rotate -

Rotate the image or straighten photos

Crop -

Crop the unnecessary parts of the image.

These tools are all fairly straight forward to use, once you get the hang of it. They really do take advantage of the touch screen on the iPad unlike most other apps. Each tool has a subset of tools and they can be easily accessed by swiping your fingers up and down on the screen. Then after you select the tool you swipe left and right to adjust the strength of that tool. For example in the tune image section swipe up and down to select actions like Brightness, Ambiance, Contrast, Saturation and White Balance. Then you can swipe left and right to adjust the image. It's really a intuitive way to quickly select a tool and then adjust and once you get used to it a great way to work.

The second part of this photography app gives you 6 main types of styles. This is where this app is interesting.

Black & White -

Give the cool Black and White effect to the image

Vintage Films -

Makes the image look as if its come right out of a 50's or a 60's film

Drama -

To give artistic and creative effects

Grunge -

To give hip and dingy look

Center Focus -

Draw attention to a particular part of the image, making everything else blur (best options)

Organic Frames -

Adds classic borders to the image

Each style also has a subset of many different types of filters. So in the vintage filter you have 9 different types of vintage styles to apply. You can also apply a texture to the image by tapping the texture button although I do wish you had more control over textures like the ability to apply it to only certain parts of the image or some opacity controls over the texture. Right now it just applies the texture to the entire image.

With every section you open it shows a screen with simple arrows on How to use each button on that page, makes this app very user-friendly.Its one of the best photo editing apps out there for the iPad and works similarly well on iPhone and iPod Touch without losing the effect on the smaller screen. It makes editing photos and sharing a comfort for Pro, amateur photographers en al.
