Facebook launches Memories, a dedicated section for all your past special moments

Under Memories, users can access all their ‘On This Day’ content like photos, videos, and posts.

Facebook has launched a new dedicated section for users to access all their memories in one place. Called "Memories", here users will be able to catch up on the special moments and events celebrated on Facebook in the past.

"Every day more than 90 million people use 'On This Day' to reminisce about these moments they have shared on Facebook," said Oren Hod, Product Manager at Facebook, in a blog post on Monday.

The new Memories page will have several sections. It will contain all the content from "On This Day" which shows up on top of the news feed. Users can check their past posts and major life events from the available dates.

Here users will also be able to see the friends made on particular days and check out special "friendversary" videos and collages.

Facebook will also show monthly recaps of memories in the form of a message or a short video. This section will also show recent posts that users might have missed from the previous week.

Users can access the Memories section by tapping on the dedicated bookmark which will be available on the left side of the News Feed on desktop. Facebook app users can access it by tapping on the "more" button. At the same time users can also access Memories via notifications and messages in News Feed.
