Facebook has been issued a death threat. Cyber space is abuzz as an anonymous internet hacking group has declared their intention to "destroy" the site by November 5.

Reactions began to pour in as the group announced their intentions in a YouTube video called Operation Facebook, uploaded a few days ago. "Your medium of communication you all so dearly adore will be destroyed," says the video, adding that the site invades the privacy of all its 750 million users. An electronically masked voice goes on to invite like-minded people to join the "cause". The video has had over seven lakh hits already and is still going strong.

While Facebook is yet to issue an official statement reacting to the threat, members say they are certain that the site will take adequate security measures.
