Firefox 11 available for download now

Two days after stating that it was postponing the release of Firefox 11, the acclaimed open source web browser, Mozilla announced the launch on Wednesday. The update has come just after over a month of Firefox 10’s launch.

Two days after stating that it was postponing the release of Firefox 11, the acclaimed open source web browser, Mozilla announced the launch on Wednesday. The update has come just after over a month of Firefox 10's launch.

Firefox 11 boasts of many major changes, both in the interface as well as programming, over its last version and is being touted as one of the most efficient upgrade so far. It has a Style Editor which makes web designing easies by allowing you to change the code in CSS stylesheets within the browser. The new version also allows users to migrate bookmarks, history and cookies from Google's Chrome browser. Mozilla has further modified media controls for HTML 5

Another new feature is Tilt, a 3D page inspector view. This option allows users to see the raw code in its finished form. Other changes include support for Google's SPDY protocol that allows faster and safer webpage loading.
