Microsoft on Tuesday launched a new feature for cricket fans in India. Users of its Microsoft Launcher on Android devices can now stay updated with the live cricket action on their phone's homescreen.

This widget allows cricket fans to stay updated with the latest action without having to toggle between multiple web tabs. The Microsoft Launcher updates the scores automatically and gets live cricket scores as soon as a user unlocks their phone.

Microsoft allows you to customise the widget by selecting the teams you follow. Users can also view live scores of multiple matches at the same time, right from the home screen.

This free launcher app for Android devices gives detailed customisation options. It also offers a personalised feed to users for all the important events, top news, recent activities, favourite people and most frequently used apps.

How to use the cricket widget

To get started, download and install Microsoft's Launcher application on your Android smartphone. If you already use Microsoft Launcher, simply go to "Add Widgets" section by pinching on the home screen and tapping on the cricket widget. You can also active the widget by going to Launcher settings > Your feed > Glance and click on 'Add Widget'. Lastly, users can choose the teams they would like to follow and the widget will start displaying the live scores on the home screen.
