Fuhu launches first-of-its-kind children's subscription tablet
Essentially a tablet on contract, the nabi Pass Tab combines a device built to cope with the rigors of having a pre-teen owner with a 12 or 24-month content subscription so that parents can rest assured that their children aren't running up bills on in-app purchases or accessing something unsuitable.
Essentially a tablet on contract, the nabi Pass Tab combines a device built to cope with the rigors of having a pre-teen owner with a 12 or 24-month content subscription so that parents can rest assured that their children aren't running up bills on in-app purchases or accessing something unsuitable.
Fuhu's nabi was the first ever tablet built just for children and over the years the company has been refining the device and the educational apps and features it runs alongside typical Android apps.
With the $9.99 monthly subscription over two years or $14.99 over 12 months, children will get unlimited access to a host of premium, tested digital content which includes TV shows, films and music as well as books, games and apps.
'With nabi Pass Tab we are further diversifying the ways we can meet the needs of parents who want the best tech for their kids with the robust educational and entertaining content in the controlled, safe environment we provide,' said Jim Mitchell, CEO of Fuhu.
When the subscription period is over, parents can return the tablet or upgrade.
