Galactic coup

Twice as good
Mass Effect 2 on the one side comprises a dialogue-heavy storyline that could pass for a soap opera, and ample alien-on-alien action on the other. Everything in the sequel is twice as better.
Well-paced
The franchise's biggest strength was its smooth pace intermittent with dialogue, interspecies interaction, space exploration and ample lore. Its open-ended mission structure allows you to pick any mission from its wide variety. Each of the galaxy's species and sects have loads of reading material on them, breathing life into the game's world by giving you enough backstory to understand how the galaxy functions.
Exciting mini-games
If you're looking for a great RPG to draw you into a beautifully conjured world, Mass Effect 2 is right up your alley.
What we like
Great optimisation
Well-written script
Great mini-games (mining/hacking)
Well-tuned action
What we don't
Underwhelming end
Predictable plot
