Gmail users also in net!
The Hotmail scam that came to light on Tuesday is getting murkier. The latest information reveal that not only Hotmail users but people using Gmail and other services are also affected.
Another 20,000 email accounts and passwords have surfaced, bearing addresses from Gmail, Yahoo, AOL and other services, the BBC reports. Google has found a third list but hasn't detailed its contents. Google and Microsoft have described the scope of the scam as 'industry-wide.'
According to Google the info wasn't found by cracking Gmail's security, but with 'phishing' websites that tricked users into revealing their information.
Prior to this a list of 10,000 Hotmail accounts surfaced revealing users' information and usernames and passwords.
