Google is finally rolling out its new and powerful video editor on Google Photos for Android. This improved video editing suite was rolled out for iOS earlier in February this year and it is finally making its way to Android. The new editing tools on Google Photos allow you to trim, rotate your videos, and stabilise them like the older editor, but additionally, you can also use it to crop the frame, export individual frames, change perspective and add filters. All these new tools are a part of the new editing suite.

The new video editor also allows you to make granular edits to your videos like change brightness, contrast, skin colour, shadows, saturation, tint, warmth, and more. There are 30 new video editing tools that you can play around with to get your desired results.

However, it still doesn't have everything. You still cannot combine two clips on the Google Photos video editor like you can on Apple's iMovie. If you are looking for features like these, there are other video editing apps on the Play Store that you can easily download and use, and these give you more control over what you want to do with a whole range of tools. But for Google Photos loyalists, they at least have more options for editing now even though these aren't exactly professional-level editing tools.

The new video editor on Google Photos is rolling out as a server-side update on Android smartphones, not just on Google Pixels. You can head over to the Google Play Store to get the new update (v5.36.0.365895365) right now. If you don't see it, you just might have to wait for a day or two.
