Google is working on an interactive game for its social network based on indoor and outdoor maps found in its Google Maps service.
The game, called Play Your World, appears to be a Labyrinth/Marble Madness-style game where users guide a ball through a series of "mazes" (based on real-world geography and maps) on a three-dimensional cube.
According to an unlisted video made by Google, the game will be launched on Google+ Games in February 2012. The game will also be used to help promote Google's new mapping features such as indoor maps, customized Google Maps and map editing.
"Coming soon, play your world like never before with a game from the Google Maps team on Google+ Games powered by WebGL," reads the video description.
It's not the first game based on Google Maps. Tom Scott's Real World Racer lets you race a car on roads around the globe, Place Spotting shows players a photo and asks them to to find it on the map, and Google Earth sports its own flight simulator.
