Here are some handy Instagram features you may not know about
Instagram has a couple of features that make it easier to navigate around the app. Here are some of them.
Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri has been occasionally sharing features of the app that can come handy to users. This week Mosseri shared Instagram features that are said to be the “more well thought out design details in the app.”
These features that Mosseri highlighted aren't entirely new, and have existed on the app for quite some time. But they are quite handy, and longtime Instagram users may also not be aware or have forgotten about them. The first feature is more of a trick, and that's to long press the Explore tab to search. This button is available as a magnifying glass icon on the bottom bar of the app. You can long press it, and it will take you straight to the search page.

The next feature will be useful for people who use two accounts on Instagram. You can double tap the profile tab on Instagram to switch accounts. This is actually the newest feature among the ones mentioned. Your profile icon is located on the bottom bar menu on the left corner. This feature can come handy for people who have two accounts, and need to constantly switch between the two.
The next two features are probably common among Instagram users. If you're scrolling on your feed, and wish to go back to the top, just tap on the Home icon. The other feature is to press and hold to pause Stories. The last feature Mosseri mentioned is how you can view posts without having to open them. For this too, you have to press and hold on the thumbnail image in the Explore tab.
