Honor Holly 2 Plus to launch with Honor 5X on January 28: Report
A new report claims that Honor Holly 2 Plus will be launched alongside Honor 5X on January 28.
Huawei has already confirmed the launch of its Honor 5X smartphone in India on January 28. According to a report by PC-Tablet, the company seems to be prepping the launch of another smartphone on the same day. Citing people familiar with the matter, the report claims that the Chinese manufacturer is also planning to unveil the Honor Holly 2 Plus at the same event alongside the Honor 5X.
The report further adds that the Honor Holly 2 will sport a poly-carbonate body though will not be equipped with a fingerprint scanner. In terms of specifications, the smartphone is rumored to get a 5-inch IPS HD display, a 1.3 Ghz quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of in-built storage expandable upto 128GB via microSD slot. Optics expected include a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP camera on the front, while powering the device would be a 4000mAh battery. However, the pricing of the device still remains a mystery.
Meanwhile, the main highlight of the January 28 launch event would be the Honor 5X which has already been launched in China.
The dual-SIM Honor 5X packs a 5.5 inch Full-HD IPS display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon octa-core processor bundled with either 2GB or 3GB RAM, 16GB of inbuilt storage expandable upto 128GB via microSD and a 3000mAh battery. In terms of optics, the smartphone features a 13-megapixel rear camera with dual-LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture. The Honor 5X also supports Quick Charge 3.0. It was launched in China priced at CNY 999 (2GB) and CNY 1,399 (3GB), hence we can expect it to be priced in India around the ₹10,000 to ₹14,500 depending upon the variant.
