The Apple MacBook launch event comes as no shock especially when Apple during its September 7 event didn't disclose any MacBook related information even after speculations that the Cupertino-headquartered company would launch its flagship personal computers as well.

Brevity is probably what the company was targeting as it didn't want to make all big bang announcements together and risk the loss of focus from the media.

The invite that the company sent out for the Macbook keynote reads "hello again" which is an indication that the company is trying to remind people that it is back again for some resounding and impactful announcements.

After the September 7 event, media was abuzz with rumours that the company would make announcements regarding MacBooks in the last week of October.

However, if you want to catch the keynote from Tim Cook, you can watch Apple's 27 October Mac launch event live on Apple's website and follow our live blog. The event is scheduled to begin at 10.30 PM Indian Standard Time.

To stream the event on Apple's official website you will need an iPhone, iPad or iPod touch with Safari on iOS 7.0 or later, a Mac with Safari 6.0.5 or later on Mac OS X v10.8.5 or later, or a PC with Microsoft Edge on Windows 10.

You can also stream the keynote on Apple TV. If you've got a second or third-gen Apple TV it'll need to be running software 6.2 or later. A 4th-gen Apple TV will be fine. A 1st-gen Apple TV won't be able to stream the event.
