HP Spectre, world’s thinnest laptop, launching today
The laptop, whose design suggests that it wants to beat the new Mac, comes in many variants in the US with the base model based on Intel Core i5. The base model also comes with 256GB of SSD drive, 8 GB of RAM and is priced at $1,169 (₹79,000) around $130 less than a similarly configured (but Core m3-based) MacBook.

We have been hearing about this unique laptop for some time but the time is near when one can see and even be able to purchase it if the laptop fits the bill. Of course, we are talking about the HP Spectre.
The laptop, whose design suggests that it wants to beat the new Mac, comes in many variants in the US with the base model based on Intel Core i5. The base model also comes with 256GB of SSD drive, 8 GB of RAM and is priced at $1,169 (₹79,000) around $130 less than a similarly configured (but Core m3-based) MacBook.
The other variant sports a Core i7 processor and costs just $1,249 (₹84,000). And a higher-end version with 512 GB of SSD storage is $1,499 (₹1 lakh approximately). You can expect this prices to be hiked a little if the configurations stays the same or else you might see different variants for India. The Spectre sports a full-HD non-touch display and comes with Windows 10 operating system. It has a backlit keyboard and USB Type-C ports.

According to HP, the 13-inch Spectre is 10.4mm thick, while Apple's iconic MacBook Air is 17mm thick, as is the Lenovo LaVie (which can claim to be the world's lightest 13-inch laptop). The 12-inch MacBook and the recent Razer Blade Stealth both clock in at 13mm thick. Experts claim that the battery has been flattened in way to match the design and at the same time maintain good battery backup.
