HSL launches its Y501 Plus smartphone with a Hammerscreen
HSL Mobile launches the HSL Y501 Plus sporting a Hammerscreen, which essentially makes the display super tough to absorb any kind of impact

HSL Mobile has launched its HSL Y501 smartphone in India, the first ever device sporting a 'HammerScreen'. The Hammer shield screen essentially protects the display from damage offering super impact protection. The manufacturer claims that it'll offer 100 days of protection against the hammer screen.
"We are very happy to introduce Y501 Plus in India which is specifically designed and developed keeping Indian consumers' need for vernacular languages solution and a tougher screen at the centre," said Naresh Yadav, director of HSL Mobiles.
In terms of specifications, the features a 5-inch display with a 854 x 480 pixel resolution. Powering the HSL Y501 is a 1.2GHz quad-core Mediatek processor bundled with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of in-built storage, expandable upto 32GB via microSD slot.
Optics on the smartphone include a 5-megapixel primary camera along with 2-megapixel front facing camera for taking selfies. The smartphone runs Android KitKat out-of-the-box and packs a 2,000 mAh battery. The company claim that the device can offer 10 hours of talktime and upto 150 hours of standby time.
The dual-SIM phone has been priced at ₹3,999 which will be available in black and white colour variants exclusively via Snapdeal.
