HTC has confirmed plans to release the next edition of their flagship phone, the HTC One M9 March 1, on the eve of the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

HTC has confirmed plans to release the next edition of their flagship phone, the HTC One M9 March 1, on the eve of the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

The release date was announced on HTC's UK Twitter account.

According to unnamed sources cited by Bloomberg, the new phone will feature a 20-megapixel rear camera and an HTC UltraPixel front camera. Leaked information also suggests the new HTC phone will have advanced video capabilities, Dolby 5.1 audio technology, a Snapdragon 810 processor, and will be available in dark gunmetal, silver, gold.

The MWC opens March 2 in Barcelona and runs until March 5.
