"The IT infrastructure is very important. Data centres need to change. They need to become more flexible. IT is becoming an integral part of every business," Srinivas Tadigadapa, director, enterprise solution sales, Intel South Asia said.
The new range of processors -- Xeon E5-2600/1600 v3 product families -- are aimed at addressing the requirements of diverse workloads and the rapidly evolving needs of data centres.
The processors will be used in servers, workstations, and storage and networking infrastructure to power a broad set of workloads such as data analytics, high-performance computing, telecommunications and cloud-based services, as well as back-end processing for the Internet of Things.
Tadigadapa said in India sectors like telecom, financial services, government, e-commerce, manufacturing and cloud-based service providers will be benefited from this new series of processors.
