iPhones and Windows PCs haven't worked well together in the past but it is going to change from now on. At the Microsoft event, it was announced that Apple iPhone users will now be able to see their photos and videos on iCloud directly in the Microsoft Photos app. Yes, Microsoft and Apple have joined hands for offering better integration between their services, and it starts from Windows 11, and will extend into Microsoft's Xbox platform as well.

Hence, if you have long wanted to send photos and videos from your iPhone to the Windows PC without a hassle-free experience, like they do on those swanky MacBooks, you can now do so using iCloud. Microsoft says that users will need to download the iCloud for Windows app from the Microsoft Store, log in to the account, and sync the iCloud Photos. Once done, the iCloud Photos will show up on Photos app in Windows 11. Simple and easier than ever!

More than just Photo sharing! Xbox players hear out

Additionally, Apple Music will now be available on Xbox, which means players will be able to access their Apple Music playlists right from their consoles. Additionally, Apple will also extend the Apple Music and Apple TV+ apps to Windows from next year, with the apps said to be available later this year.

Sadly, there's no AirDrop making its way to Windows at the moment and we think that may never happen. After all, iPhones work the best with macOS devices and the integration is far superior than it is with other operating systems.

Nonetheless, Windows 11 now has good enough amount of integration with Apple services as well as Samsung devices. In fact, the integration with Android is far better on Windows 11, since the OS can run Android apps directly.

Additionally, Microsoft also announced the Surface Pro 9, Surface Laptop 5, and a variant withs support for 5G networks as well. All the devices come with 12th Gen Intel processors at the moment, except for the Surface Pro 9 5G that uses the Microsoft SQ chip based on Qualcomm Snapdragon with 5G connectivity.
