The Gear S2 was initially unveiled back in September at the IFA 2015 trade show in Berlin, and has already been launched in other international markets. It marks the first smartwatch from the Korean manufacturer sporting a circular dial. The Gear S2 comes in three variants which include the standard Gear S2, the Gear S2 Classic and the Gear S2 3G. In terms of specifications, the smartwatch features a 1.2-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 360x360 pixels, a dual-core 1GHz processor bundled with 512MB of RAM and 4GB of storage. While juicing up the smartwatch would be a 250mAh battery which can offer 2-3 days of normal usage. The smartwatch also gets a slew of sensors which include accelerometer, gyroscope, heart rate, ambient light, and barometer. In addition, it also gets IP68- certification implying it'll be resistant to water and dust.
All three variants of the smartwatch are more or less similar, except that the 3G variant comes with a slightly beefier 300 mAh battery along with an added GPS sensor. While the key difference among the standard and classic variant is that latter gets a black case with a leather band, and the standard comes with a dark gray case sporting a mataching band and a silver case with a white band.
