Domestic handset maker Karbonn Mobiles on Tuesday launched a new smartphone "Titanium Jumbo." Priced at 6,490, the smartphone is available in black and champagne across leading retail stores.

The smartphone comes with a 5-inch HD IPS display. It sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera.

Titanium Jumbo, with the aim to provide smart and simple telephony experience, is a tough competitor for its counterparts and a delight for all the consumers belonging to diverse segments, the company said in a statement.

It is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor coupled with a 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage that can be expanded up to 64GB. It comes with 4,000 mAh battery and runs Android 7.0 Nougat.

Connectivity options include OTG, Bluetooth, GPS, A/GPS, VoLTE (4G), Dual SIM, and Wi-Fi, Hotspot.

The Karbonn Titanium Jumbo will compete with Xiaomi's Redmi 4A. With price starting at 5,999, the Redmi 4A comes with 5-inch HD display. It is powered by a 1.4GHz quad-core Snapdragon 425 processor coupled with 2GB RAM.

The smartphone has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front camera unit.

The Redmi 4A has 16GB internal storage, and microSD card support for expandable storage. It is powered by a 3,120mAh battery.
