With the world's biggest sporting event - the Olympic games - due to begin on July 27, the mobile world is gearing up to provide tech fans easy ways to get up-to-the-minute information. The latest app of this kind gives users a rundown of all the medals won in the games.
With the world's biggest sporting event - the Olympic games - due to begin on Friday, July 27, the mobile world is gearing up to provide tech fans easy ways to get up-to-the-minute information. The latest app of this kind gives users a rundown of all the medals won in the games.
The free application, called Medals2012, gives users access to information on which athletes, across all fields, have won medals in the games, a daily listing of event finals and a complete medals table. The app also lets users receive push notifications from any three countries of their choice and is fully integrated with Twitter and Facebook.
Medals2012 releases on Android on May 9 and, according to a spokesperson, will reach iOS users in the 'coming weeks'. For more information and to download the app see
