LeEco becomes one of the first to test Facebook canvas ads
Chinese manufacturer LeEco has officially confirmed that it’ll start advertising products using Facebook’s Canvas Mobile ads technology.
LeEco is one of the first few advertisers to use Facebook's Immersive Canvas Mobile ads -- a new experience which allows advertisers to use a mix of videos, photos and other elements in new and compelling ways. Prior to testing this, LeEco had invested on reaching out to its audiences through a live cast of LeEco's India Grand launch on the Facebook platform.
Canvas Mobile ads look like normal sponsored posts in the News Feed, but when tapped, they take over the screen and allow viewers to flip and scroll through text, photos, videos and other content. It's like an alternate version of a brand's website, but loads more quickly and feels more interactive because the content is native to Facebook.
As a multinational internet company, LeEco is very popular among the general public. After the giant officially entered India this January, within 63 days, its Facebook fan page had garnered one million followers, and now the number is over two million.
"With canvas ads, we are giving advertisers a lot of flexibility to build the type of experience they feel best representing their brand identity, and ultimately achieving their business objectives. It is great to see LeEco being one of the first advertisers to embrace the new experience on Facebook." said Head of Industry Sales, Greater China, Facebook, Fei Yu.
"Our last cooperation of live-streaming event of LeEco's grand launch into India was also very successful," said Fei. LeEco's January Indian Entry Event covered more than 100 million viewers worldwide, thanks to their Facebook page's strong fan-base.
LeEco is expected to upload its immersive mobile ads on its Facebook account in February.
