Transparent smart TV to Mi 10 Ultra, Xiaomi unveils new premium devices
Xiaomi becomes one of the world’s first companies to launch a commercial see-through smart TV. Apart from Mi TV LUX OLED Transparent Edition, it also launched Mi 10 Ultra and Redmi K30 Ultra. Check key specifications and features of the latest Xiaomi devices here.
Xiaomi on late Tuesday unveiled a new range of devices including a see-through smart TV to mark its 10th anniversary in the industry. The new lineup also includes Mi 10 Ultra and Redmi K30 Ultra. Let’s take a closer look at these devices.
Transparent smart TV
Xiaomi has become one of the first companies in the world to launch a commercial mass-produced smart TV with a transparent display. So far, we have seen just the prototypes from companies such as Panasonic and LG.
Called Mi TV LUX OLED Transparent Edition, the smart TV is priced at RMB 49,999 ( ₹5,36,838 approximately). It comes with a 55-inch transparent OLED panel with a 150000:1 static contrast ratio and an infinite dynamic contrast ratio. Apart from a wide colour spectrum, it also has a 120Hz refresh rate and 120Hz MEMC technology.
The smart TV runs on an AI Master Smart Engine, along with the MediaTek 9650 custom-made TV chip. There’s also Dolby Atmos support.
For now, the transparent smart TV will be available in China. Xiaomi has not revealed when it plans to roll out the device in other markets.

Mi 10 Ultra
Xiaomi has launched a new high-end smartphone under its premium smartphone series, Mi 10 Ultra. Key highlights of the phone include 120x AI Superzoom (world’s first), 120Hz refresh rate and 120W fast charging support.
In terms of specs, the phone has a 6.67-inch curved OLED display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor, LPDDR5 RAM (up to 16GB), and up to 512GB storage.
The rear camera setup includes a periscope lens with 120x ultra-zoom ability, 4-in-1 pixel binning, OIS, EIS and 5P lens. The setup is in addition to a 12-megapixel portrait camera, custom 48-megapixel 1/1.32-inch super sensor with 8P lens, OIS, EIS, and a 20-megapixel 128-degree ultra-wide-angle camera with 7P 12mm equivalent lens, which can be used for macro shots as well. The camera also supports laser autofocus.
Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra will be available for a starting price of RMB 5,299 ( ₹56,887 approximately).
Redmi K30 Ultra
For the affordable premium flagship segment, Xiaomi has launched a new Redmi K30 Ultra.
It comes with a 6.67-inch FHD+ display with 120Hz refresh rate, MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ 5G processor, up to 12GB of RAM, and up to 512GB storage. It runs on a 4,500mAh battery with 33W fast charging support.
In the camera department, Redmi K30 Ultra has a 64-megapixel primary sensor along with a 13-megapixel, 5megapixel and a 2-megapixel ultra-wide-angle, telemacro and depth sensors on the back. For selfies, it has a 20-megapixel pop-up camera.
Redmi K30 Ultra is available in China for a starting price of RMB 1,999 ( ₹21,461 approximately).
