Microsoft has continued to polish its Teams platform amid growing competition with Zoom and Google's Meet. The company will soon roll out a new feature that will make it easier to make presentations during video calls or live event.

Dubbed as Dynamic View, it will allow one to share content side-by-side with others. It is said to launch in the next couple of months.

The feature is likely to be useful for users who want to make a presentation, play a video for reference, and present reports. As of now, Teams shows smaller icons of participants when someone is sharing their screen or presenting something. With the update, the gallery view will automatically re-arrange itself for a better viewing experience. Users will also have the option to personalise this view, according to The Verge.

Apart from the side-by-side presentation, Microsoft Teams will also highlight active speakers as well as participants who have raised their hands. The update will allow users to pin a specific point.

It is worth noting that Microsoft had announced some of these features in July last year.

Bonus:

Just last month Microsoft introduced holiday-themed Together Mode scenes and custom backgrounds.

How to use: Open Teams meeting > select Together mode from the drop-down menu > click the small pencil in the left-hand corner of the screen > choose a scene.
