General Motors in China is developing a new app called DiDi Plate which would allow drivers to communicate to other nearby drivers via text messages.
The app can identify fellow road users by snapping a picture of their number plate and the driver's mobile number then becomes available to vent opinions on their driving style. However, the app is still in early development stage, the Daily Star reported.
The app will surely raise some eyebrows over the issue of texting while driving and the risk of a road rage punch up, which could land drivers in trouble.
Meanwhile, the app could prove beneficial in case of parking crisis, which everyone faces.
