Ola Electric on the occasion of India's 75th Independence Day launched the Ola S1, a cheaper alternative to Ola S1 Pro electric scooter in the Indian market. Ola S1 price is Rs. 99,999. Announcing the same, Bhavish Aggarwal, CEO of the company said, "today we want to take the electric two-wheeler revolution to a much larger scale and democratise EV's scooter ownership in India. We promised this to you last year and as promised I am super excited to present the Ola S1 today."

As per the information provided, if you want to buy the all new Ola S1, you can book it at Rs. 499 starting today (August 15-31). It can be noted that the introductory price is valid for limited scooters and those who reserve will get an early access to buy the EV from September 1. Also, for others the purchase will open on September 2, 2022, while the delivery will start from September 7.

The CEO also informed about the design of the all new Ola S1 and said that it is very similar to the S1 Pro that was introduced last year and is based on the same platform. Also, the S1 is available in five colour options to choose from including Jet Black, Coral Glam, Liquid Silver, Porcelain White, and Neo Mint.

Coming to the features and specifications of the scooter, the Ola S1 will be powered by a 3kWh electric motor that will allow it to run 131 km range on a single charge. The scooter comes with three different riding modes. According to the information provided by the CEO of the company, the eco mode offers a 128km range, the normal mode allows a 101 km range, while the sports mode will allow the electric scooter to run 90 km in on a single charge. It can be known that the Ola S1 will be built at the company's Future Factory.
