Sure, the OnePlus 2 is a great smartphone for ₹ 25,000, but the Chinese company is about to do one better. It will reportedly announce a cheaper called the OnePlus X at an event in Bengaluru later today.
OnePlus CEo Pete Lau recently posted an image of a GPS route that was shaped like an X on Chinese social network Weibo, and added fuel to the fire.


A few days later, the official OnePlus India Twitter account also posted this tweet.

According to rumours, the OnePlus X will be a mid-range device with a MediaTek Helio X10 processor, 2 GB RAM, a 5-inch display, and 32 GB of expandable storage. It will also, reportedly, have a USB-C port for quick charging, an FM radio, and an NFC chip (which, incidentally, its flagship, the OnePlus 2, doesn't have).
Gadget blog GizmoChina wrote that the OnePlus X will cost $250, which means it will cost under ₹ 20,000 in India, and will go on sale in November or December
