Oppo on Thursday rolled out ColorOS 7.2 in India. The Android 10-based ColorOS 7.2 has been rolled out on the newly launched Oppo Reno 4 Pro smartphone that went on sale in India on August 5. Oppo says that the ColorOS 7.2 has been customised for Reno4 Pro with a set of operating enhancements that amplifies the overall user experience. Oppo hasn't detailed a plan as to when this feature will be available in other Oppo smartphones.
As far as features and functionalities are concerned, the newly launched ColorOS 7.2 comes with several upgrades over its predecessor, that is, the ColorOS 7. This includes better battery customisations, accessibility enhancements and Oppo Labs among others.
Here's what's new in the ColorOS 7.2:
-- AI APP Preloading: This feature allows users to open their most-used apps faster by pre-loading them before users access them. Oppo says that the AI APP Preloading functionality predicts when a user is going to launch an app again, which in turn saves times when users access these apps.
-- Super Power Saving Mode: The ColorOS 7.2 comes with a Super Power Saving Mode, which helps in extending the phone's battery life at extremely low battery levels. When turned on, this feature allows a maximum of six apps to use power, which slows down the power drainage. The company says that the Reno 4 Pro with 5% battery can be used for WhatsApp messaging for up to 90 minutes or make calls for 77 minutes using this functionality.

There is a Quick Return Bubble feature that displays key information from the background gaming apps as a floating bubble. It also enables users to switch back to an app by tapping on it.
