Amazon Prime Video is set for some big releases this year, the biggest of them being The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, which is scheduled for September 2022. Last week, the streaming giant released Modern Love Mumbai, another highly anticipated web series. In recent times, Amazon Studios has begun focusing on India-centric stories and it is increasing its library of Amazon Original content. With Netflix losing 200K subscribers in the first quarter of financial year 2022-23, Amazon looks primed to try and tap into that demographic.
