In addition to posting photos of the life-changing rabbit tagliatelle enjoyed at a family-owned restaurant in Italy, for example, users can also bookmark the location on a map for fellow users, which will show the address and contact information.

According to Pinterest, about 1.5 million places are pinned every day.

The new feature can also facilitate holiday planning among friends, Pinterest suggests, as users can collaborate on a group board by adding Place Pins to areas of interest.

Similarly, users can send a board with their favorite restaurants and destinations to friends.

Conde Nast Traveler has already added Place Pins to their Top 100 Hotels in the World board, as has the Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts for their Gastronomic Travel Board.
