Silly soccer sim 'Passing Time' and meditative space station management game 'Rymdkapsel' are the first salvos in five weeks worth of free games via the Playstation Mobile app.
Those who own a PlayStation Vita or one of the PlayStation Mobile platform's supported devices can get in on the action, which runs November 27 - December 18 and then January 8-22.
Kicking off the promotion this week is 'Passing Time' (usually £1.99/€2.49), which melds fiery passes, slow motion moments, and special ball types with cute retro graphics reminiscent of 'Sensible Soccer.'
Joining it is 'Rymdkapsel' (usually €3.59), whose abstract presentation and considered approach manages to blend strategy and crisis management with relaxation.
Certified devices include the Sony Xperia, HTC One and Butterfly, Sharp Aquos, Fujitsu Arrows Tab and Wikipad 7 lines.
The PlayStation Mobile app itself, while not distributed via the Google Play store, can be side-loaded from http://playstation.com/psm/store/en.html.
Its scope currently embraces Japan, the US and Canada, the UK, France, Italy, Germany, Spain and Australia.
