The Prisma app that turns photos into works of art has finally made it to the Android Play Store. Taking filters one step further, the app lets you add a painting-like effects on your photos.
Being available on the App Store for iOS, the Android version of Prisma was still in Beta until the official launch.
With this Picasso, Van Gogh and Levitan. However, what we're really excited about is the artistic filters making their way to videos.
Here's a video we found n Facebook of Prima being tested to render these artistic filters on a video.
Using the neural networks and artificial intelligence to analyze the image, Prisma provides an intricate design unlike what the other mundane filter apps can do. It is also being tested on 360-degree photos and videos.
Despite the heavy use of technology, the Prisma app is quite easy to use. Like Instagram, there's a circular shutter button, toggle for flash, options to switch cameras, a settings icon and needs access to your current photo library.
All you need to do is take a picture or select an existing one, crop it, and look around to see which of the effects work. And before you know it, the app will apply the effect and even let you play around with the intensity.
