On what will make Rajinikanth fans very happy, the superstar is all set to launch a special social media app. Rajinikanth will launch what is said to be the country's "first voice-based social media platform" on Monday. Moreover, Rajinikanth himself said that he will be launching the "first of its kind" app in his own voice.

Undoubtedly, the world is connected by social media apps and they are showing no sign of slowing down. In fact, there is growth everywhere, especially if they are somehow different from the mainstream messenger apps like Twitter or for that matter WhatsApp. The app Rajinikanth is about to launch, is very much different, it is voice based. Rajinikanth will launch the app on Monday, which is also the day that the superstar will receive the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award.

What is noteworthy is that Rajinikanth will launch the app that has been created by his daughter Soundarya Vishagan. Rajini says it will be a "useful app" for the public. He revealed that Soundarya, by "her independent efforts, has pioneered the making of a very useful app for people called Hoote."

"People can now express through their voice their thoughts, wishes and ideas just like they do in writing in any language of their choice," he added.

Rajinikanth, who has been chosen to receive the 51st Dadasaheb Phalke Award by the Centre for the year 2020, said that Monday will be "an important occasion for him" as he will receive the prestigious honour. He has completed more than 45 years in the Tamil film industry. The Dadasaheb Phalke is awarded for excellence in cinematic achievement. It is the highest film honour in the country and is awarded by the government of India.

Rajinikanth will receive the award for his stupendous contribution to Indian cinema.

The official Twitter account of Directorate of Film Festivals, India posted this tweet: "@rajinikanth fondly called as Thalaiva by his fans, will receive the 51st #DadasahebPhalkeAward, India's highest film honour, on Oct 25."

BJP Rajya Sabha MP Prakash Javadekar had made this announcement in April, 2021.

Rajinikanth's movie debut was back in 1975 when he starred in K Balachander's 'Apoorva Ragangal'.

Rajinikanth's latest action movie "Annaatthe" is all set for a Diwali release.
