Realme X launched in China: It’s a cheaper version of OnePlus 7 Pro
Realme X looks almost the same as the OnePlus 7 Pro and even shares a similar set of specifications.
Realme made its debut in China with two new smartphones - Realme X and Realme X Lite.
Realme X Lite comes in three storage variants starting at CNY 1,199 ( ₹13,000 approx) for the 4GB+64GB variant, and CNY 1,299 ( ₹13,300 approx) for the 6+64GB variant. Realme X Lite also comes with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage which is priced at CNY 1,499 ( ₹15,400 approx).
As for the Realme X, the smartphone also comes with three storage variants. The base model with 6GB RAM and 64GB is priced at CNY 1,499 ( ₹15,300 approx), while the 6GB+128GB variant will retail at CNY 1,599 ( ₹16,400 approx). Realme X with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage will be available at CNY 1,799 ( ₹18,400 approx).
There's also a special onion and garlic edition of Realme X which will retail at CNY 1,899 ( ₹19,500 approx).
In China, Realme X Lite and Realme X will go on sale starting May 20.
Realme X Lite specifications
Realme X Lite is the Chinese version of Realme 3 Pro which launched in India last month. In India, Realme 3 Pro starts at ₹13,999. The smartphone features a 6.3-inch FHD+ display with 90.8% screen-to-body ratio. Under the hood runs Qualcomm's Snapdragon 710 processor paired with Adreno 616 GPU. It also comes with Hyper Boost 2.0 for performance enhancement.
For photography, Realme X Lite sports a dual-camera setup of 16-megapixel and 5-megapixel sensors, and a 25-megapixel selfie camera. The smartphone is fuelled by a 4,045mAh battery with VOOC 3.0 fast charging.
Realme X specifications
Realme X looks a lot like the OnePlus 7 Pro with a notch-less display and pop-up selfie camera. Realme X also shares almost the same set of specifications like the OnePlus 7 Pro. It has a 6.53-inch AMOLED display (2340 x 1080 pixels) with 19.5:9 aspect ratio and 91.2% screen-to-body ratio. Realme X also sports an in-display fingerprint sensor.
For photography, Realme X sports a 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 sensor which is also available in the Redmi Note 7 Pro. The primary camera is accompanied by a 5-megapixel secondary sensor. For selfies, the smartphone features a 16-megapixel Sony IMX471 camera.
Like its 'Lite' version, Realme X is also powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 710 processor. The smartphone has a slightly smaller 3,765mAh battery along with VOOC 3.0 charging support. More features on the Realme X include Dolby Atmos support, UFS 2.1, and Hyper Boost 2.0. On the software front, it runs ColorOS 6 based on Android 9 Pie.
Realme X will also launch in India soon, the company had earlier confirmed.
