Six levels plucked from Super Mario Bros. and Super Mario Bros. 3 are available for digital delivery to owners of 3DS title New Super Mario Bros. 2 in Japan until January 31, 2013.

Included in the Golden Classic Course Pack are the first level from Mario Bros., World 1-1, World 1-2 and World 1-4 from 1985 NES game Super Mario Bros. and Worlds 1-1 and 1-5 from 1988 sequel Super Mario Bros. 3.

News of New Super Mario Bros. 2's third level pack came during a Japanese Nintendo Direct presentation; though no details of an equivalent for North American and European regions had been announced at the time of writing, both previous packs were released worldwide.
