Samsung announces online offers on smartphones and other products

The offers aim to reward Samsung customers and “enhance the value proposition for Gen Z and millennial consumers, including students, when they shop online from Samsung.com,” says the firm.

Samsung tablet (HT Tech)

Samsung, in order to boost its online sales, has introduced three programs on its online store – Samsung.com. This includes Samsung Referral Program, Samsung Student Program and Samsung Shop 20K Advantage programs, all of which aims to reward Samsung customers and “enhance the value proposition for Gen Z and millennial consumers, including students, when they shop online from Samsung.com,” as per the firm.

Samsung Referral Program (Samsung First)

Under this program, Samsung customers (referrer) can help their friends and family get rewards (up to 8% off) on purchase of a range of premium mobile and consumer electronics products from Samsung.com website. The referrer (Samsung customers recommending the purchase) is said to receive benefits in the form of Samsung.com vouchers up to ₹1,500 per successful transaction completed by their friends. Samsung says its Referral Program is applicable on 15+ devices, which includes smartphones, tablets and wearables.

Samsung Student Program (India First)

According to Samsung, this is ‘first-of-its-kind' online student-specific Storefront on Samsung.com. This lets students get easy access to products that includes smartphones, tablets, wearables and accessories. The products listed in the catalogue will be available at a special price and will come with value added services such as complimentary insurance, easy exchange and convenient EMI options. The firm states that students can access the online Storefront through their official college email id or through validation by an authorized student credentials verification agency.

Samsung Shop 20K Advantage

This offer will be available on Samsung's Shop App from August. 

As a part of it, Samsung Shop App users can get 10 shopping vouchers worth ₹20,000 in total value by registering on the Samsung Shop App with their contact details. The firm states that there is one voucher for each category – Smartphones, Televisions, Washing Machines, Refrigerators, Microwaves, Tablets, Smartwatches, True Wireless Audio, Accessories & Harman/JBL products. Also mentioned is that each voucher gives a consumer up to ₹2,000 shopping benefit, depending on transaction value and category and is valid for 365 days.
