Samsung Galaxy Note 9 price leaked, could be slightly more expensive than Note 8

Leaked Samsung Galaxy Note 9 price details hint that at a $1,215 512GB storage model. While the top-end model can be exorbitant, the other two models may come with a slightly higher price tag than the last year’s Galaxy Note 8.

Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is expected to come with a premium price tag and it may even cross the $1,000 threshold with its top-end variant. But other variants may be priced slightly higher than the last year's Galaxy Note 8, according to new reports.

Samsung is gearing up for the Galaxy Note 9 launch on August 9 at an event in New York. The latest addition to the company's popular Galaxy Note-series is likely to come with top-of-the-line specifications and features. Ahead of the launch, details about the price of the new phone have emerged online.

According to a listing on an e-commerce site in Indonesia, Samsung Galaxy Note 9 base price will be IDR13.5 million, which is about $940 ( ₹64,550). The top-end model with 512GB built-in storage will cost around $1,215 ( ₹83,000). The listing also reveals three colour options - Black, Blue and Copper. The phone is expected to be up for pre-order from August 1 in select markets.

The price details, even though unofficial, indicate that the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 may be costlier than last year's Galaxy Note 8.

The base model of Note 9 with 128GB storage is expected to be priced around ₹64,550. Galaxy Note 8 with 64GB which had launched in India for ₹67,900 is currently available for ₹55,000 approximately. In the US, the Note 8 had launched for $929 which is approximately same as the new leaked price.

Even though the price could be slightly higher, the new phone is expected to come with new features such as larger battery, improved SoC, and RAM, and new camera modules, components that usually add up to the cost. Also, Samsung may do away with 64GB model for the new Galaxy Note 9.

Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is expected to come with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 845 processor coupled with up 8GB of RAM. The phone is expected to be available in 128GB, 256GB and 512GB storage model.

The phone is likely to come with a large QHD+ Super AMOLED display with an 18.5:9 aspect ratio and a larger 4,000mAh battery. The phone is also expected to come with an improved stylus "S Pen", cameras, and a lot of AR features.
