Electronic giant Samsung on Wednesday officially unveiled its second flip phone, the Galaxy Golden SHV-E400 in Korea.
This comes a week after the company had launched its first Android-based dual screen flip phone, the quad-core Samsung Hennessy flip phone in the Chinese market.
The Samsung Galaxy Golden features a dual screen with dual-touch display, like Samsung Hennessy.
The Galaxy Golden runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and features two 3.7-inch Super AMOLED displays, on the inside and the outside.(AMOLED displays have an 800 x 480 resolution). It is better than the Hennessy's dual 3.3-inch 320 x 480 displays.
The phone employs the clamshell design and is powered by a 1.7GHz dual-core processor with 2GB of RAM, and supports an 8-megapixel camera, and LTE support. On the other hand, the Hennessy has 1.2GHz quad core processor.
The phone also has a pedometer, with Samsung's S Health app, FM radio and business card recognition and will be available in champagne gold case.
Like other Samsung smartphones, the Galaxy Golden also provides an 'Easy Mode' to help new users' understand the core functions.
South Korean carriers are expected to sell the phone for 790,000 won ($700), though it is unlikely to reach US or UK stores any time soon, as is the case with the Hennessy handset.
