Samsung's next generation of smartwatches -- Gear S2 -- will come with a circular bezel control in contrast to Apple Watch's crown.
The move can be seen as a strategy by the Korean electronics major to introduce an easier and better user interface and experience to grab some shares from rival Apple in the wearable market. Although, Samsung has still not launched the iOS compatible version of the Gear S2, the announcements made by Samsung hint towards a possible launch of a iOS compatible Gear S2 soon.
The circular bezel helps to read and scroll through messages and mails, change apps, reply to messages, zoom into apps or play the next track among other things.
The new Gear S2 will come in two variants -- Gear S2 and Gear S2 classic -- priced at ₹ 23,400 and ₹ 25, 800 respectively. The device will start retailing on Thurday on all Samsung retail outlets and exclusively on Flipkart.
