Samsung unveils 'eye-tracking mouse' for people with disabilities

Samsung has recently unveiled an eye-tracking mouse, dubbed as EYECAN+, which allows people with disabilities to control their computers with a blink of an eye.

Samsung has recently unveiled an eye-tracking mouse, dubbed as EYECAN+, which allows people with disabilities to control their computers with a blink of an eye.

Samsung's second-generation EYECAN+ doesn't require the user to wear any equipment or be in any specific position, it works when users are positioned approximately 2 feet away from the monitor, ABC News reported.

It is a portable box that is positioned below a computer monitor and it allows users to surf the Internet, write and edit documents.

Samsung stated that they do not plan to sell the system and instead will donate the limited quantity to charity organizations.

However, the technology and design will soon be made open source, allowing other groups and companies free rein to commercialize the eye mouse.
