NFC, or Near Field Communication, is a popular wireless technology that is used to transfer data, media and files between two devices in close proximity. It's a faster and more secure alternative to bluetooth and other file sharing apps like EasyShare. NFC stickers come in a variety of shapes and sizes. It comprises a thin copper coil that allows the tag to get energized wirelessly from an NFC reader through electromagnetic induction and a microchip for storage.

This means when you bring a powered NFC reader near the sticker, the latter will transmit the stored data within its microchip. These chips are re-programmable upto 10000 times. The stickers can also employ public-key encryption if sensitive data is involved. And interestingly, it comes at a very cheap price i.e, just Rs. 45.
