According to the New York Times, not all US states allow proxy marriage, except for military couples, but in countries like England, Israel and India, they can be registered marriages in that country, which then can be recognised by the US, News.com.au reported. George Andrews runs a company called Proxy Marriage Now, and said he performed about 500 proxy marriages a year.
