According to a poll conducted by 'LifeProof', 70 % of parents revealed that they think that the tablets are making children more intelligent as it encourages creative interaction between parents and their children, the Mirror reported.

Also 43 % of parents admitted using a smartphone or iPad as a 'hi-tech baby-sitter' when they are exhausted, and 50 % confessed picking up fewer books now.
