We saw several launches happening today, but most headlines were grabbed by Xiaomi for its premium smartphone launch. This was followed by a couple of more handset launches and a fitness tracker launch as well. In the technology retail side of things Reliance also dropped the news on receiving investment from KKR for an equity stake. These and more in our today's daily tech wrap.

RIL's retail arm receives  5,550 crore from KKR for 1.28 % stake sale

Reliance Industry announced another investment round wherein global investment firm KKR picked up 1.28% stake in Reliance's Retail arm for 5,550 crore. The investment valued Reliance Retail, which runs grocery stores and fashion chains, at a pre-money equity value of Rs 4.21 lakh crore.

Apple AirPods Studio headphone launch pushed back, AirTag can still come by next month

As mentioned by tipster Jon Prosser, Apple seems to have run in to a ‘hiccup' in AirPods Studio production. Some of the key features have been cut and the device might not see the light of the day until December that too under best scenario. AirTags however, can arrive as soon as next month with iOS 14.3 update.

Coolpad Cool 6 launched in India, priced at Rs 10,999

The smartphone is available on Amazon India starting today. The phone is available for a starting price of  10,999. The top-end model of the .phone is priced at Rs 12,999. Coolpad Cool 6 is available in Blue and Silver colour options.

Xiaomi Mi 10T, Mi 10T Pro launched in India

The new flagship smartphones come with 5G, Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC, 108-megapixel triple cameras, and 144Hz displays as well. Xiaomi Mi 10T starts at Rs 35,999 for the base model with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. It also comes with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage which is priced at Rs 37,999.

Oppo A15 launched in India, priced at Rs 10,990

The smartphone comes in Dynamic Black and Mystery Blue colour variants and is priced at  10,990. It comes with a 3D curved body design and is equipped with an AI triple rear camera setup.

Amazfit Bip U launched in India at an introductory price of Rs 3,499

The latest member of Bip series comes with Huami PAI which gives you details about your health and overall fitness. The smartwatch is said to deliver up to nine days of battery life. It also comes with sleep tracking. The Bip U sports a colour display. It has 5ATM water resistance as well.
