Tech Wrap: Samsung launches new Galaxy A-series smartphones, Redmi TV launched

It was a day dedicated to launches today. On one hand, Samsung launched three new Galaxy S-series smartphones at its Unpacked event. On the other hand, Xiaomi launched the Redmi TV in India.

So, here's what created a buzz in the tech world today:

Samsung launches Galaxy A-series smartphones

Samsung today hosted the Galaxy Unpacked wherein it launched the Galaxy A52, the Galaxy A52 5G and the Galaxy A72 smartphones. All these phones come with a quad-rear camera setup with a 64MP primary sensor and a 32MP selfie camera. They feature up to 8GB RAM and up to 256GB of storage space.

Redmi TV launched in India

Xiaomi today launched its Redmi Smart TV series in India. It consists of X65, X55 and X50 variants and it comes at a starting price of 32,999 in India.

iQoo Neo 5 launched

iQoo today launched a new 5G smartphone called the iQoo Neo 5 in China. It comes with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor, liquid cooling system, and it comes with up to 12GB of RAM. It comes at a starting price of CNY 2,499 ( 27,900 approx.) and it will go on sale starting March 22.

Google Calendar gets Snooze button on desktop

Google today announced that now users can snooze Google Calendar desktop notifications directly from the notification itself. This feature will be available to all Google Workspace, G Suite Basic and Business customers in the coming three days.

Samsung clears the air about Galaxy Note series

The co-CEO of Samsung's IT and Mobile Communications division, DJ Koh, during the company's 52nd annual shareholder's meeting confirmed that the company will not be pulling the switch on its Galaxy Note series smartphones. Koh also said that Samsung will launch its Galaxy Note smartphone in 2022.
