Some want to create a website for her, while a hundred others have proposed marriage. Dehradun girl Shraddha Sharma, a class 11 student, is the latest phenomenon on the Web. Her YouTube channel Shraddharockin has emerged the highest subscribed channel in India, with 23,68,232 views and 19,315 subscribers, and all this within less than five months of her posting the first video.

"I never knew this would go so, so big! It's an incredibly wonderful feeling to top the charts and be a national celebrity. The fan adulation just doesn't stop pouring in," says the 15-year-old.

Sharma's journey to stardom began on April 30, with a video that shows her playing Rahet Fateh Ali Khan's track Main Tenu Samjhawan. She put it up as a heartfelt dedication to a special friend who was leaving her that night. The daughter of a music teacher mother and a BSNL employee father, and a trained Hindustani classical singer, says, "I make sure to add my own twist to every song, and that is what makes the difference." One of her followers, Naveen Kumar, an IIT Hyderabad student, is currently making an official website for her.
