TweetDeck has announced that the service will stop functioning across iOS, Android and Facebook from May 7.
TweetDeck, a social media dashboard which enables users to manage their Twitter and Facebook accounts, originally announced back in March that it would be discontinuing the service but an exact date was not specified. On April 19, the company updated the original March post on its blog to confirm that the service will be discontinuing on May 7.
As of May 7 TweetDeck will stop functioning across iOS and Android and will no longer be available in the respective app stores. Facebook integration with TweetDeck will also be discontinued the same day.
PC and Mac desktop TweetDeck clients will continue to be supported but the company is expected to continue focusing its efforts on developing the service as a web application and Chrome application.
