Videocon launches smartphone at Rs. 7,490

Videocon Group launched its Android-based smartphone A42 with a price tag of 7,490, adding to the already populous mid-range price segment in India.

Videocon Group launched its Android-based smartphone A42 with a price tag of 7,490, adding to the already populous mid-range price segment in India.



The 4.5-incher Videocon A42 comes with Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean) and has features such as dual SIM dual standby, 1.2 GHz dual core processor and 3.75G connectivity. The phone also has a 5MP rear camera and a 1.3MP front camera. It can also store data up to 32GB.

The Videocon A42 is also enabled with 'V-Store' which gives the users one-touch access to apps available for the smartphone.

"The device has been strategically priced for young consumers who are looking for their first smartphone," Khalid Zamir, head, product planning and development, Videocon mobile phones division, said.
